Refreshing teen school uniform for September - dd goes through cheap tights far too fast. What are the best ones for washing and wearing please?

Depends on her age / size but I find M&S the best. The XS / S women’s tights are pretty good too.

strongnosugar · 15/08/2019 11:24

Second vote for MnS

Geraniumpink · 15/08/2019 11:24

Thank you- she is 15 so M and S ladies’ tights might be fine.

Third for M&S! I get mine at the outlet near us and they're half price :) always stock up for the winter.

Honestly, the 80 and 100 denier ones from Primark are the best I've ever had. They wash and wear brilliantly - I'm still wearing ones I bought at the start of last winter and they're perfect. £4 for three pairs and they come in loads of sizes.

thisenglishlife · 15/08/2019 20:44

Wolford (expensive but they last so end up being cheaper per wear) or thick Primark ones (but only the thicker ones).

professionalnomad · 16/08/2019 12:59

Another vote for M&S

Theflying19 · 16/08/2019 15:15

Snag tights. Marvellous and last for ages. Come in different lengths too. Highly, highly recommend, speaking as someone with 3 teenage daughters 🙂

noneintheforeststoday · 16/08/2019 15:20

Yy to Snag. Oh my gosh they're great.

Auldspinster · 16/08/2019 15:50

I like Sainsbury's tights.

Hoghgyni · 16/08/2019 16:35

I wear Snag & my DD swears by Primark.

ladmum · 16/08/2019 16:37

Another vote for m & s have been wearing their tights since I was 15! That was a few decades ago!!

VolcanionSteamArtillery · 16/08/2019 17:02

Some of my M & S opaques are 10+ years old Blush and still in great condition

sheshootssheimplores · 16/08/2019 17:08

I’ve just purchased from Snag and they’re excellent. They have a school range that could be worth a look.

Geraniumpink · 16/08/2019 17:56

Thanks all! - went for M and S today- we will see how they go.

Sorry to drift from topic but this post is indicating the return of autumn for sure..! 😱

Hoghgyni · 16/08/2019 18:04

Today I wore Timberlands to the village shop and a raincoat down past my knees.

Northernlass99 · 20/08/2019 19:19

I see you have bought them but I just wanted to add that the Primark 100 denier ones are the best I have ever worn. So soft. Bought a load and threw out all my stiff M&S ones!

BelindasGleeTeam · 20/08/2019 19:21

Snag do a school pack. I like m&s but I love snag. They're SO comfy. No slipping down etc.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 20/08/2019 19:24

Snag are excellent.
