I’ve got an interview coming up (professional role) but I’ve not had an interview in years as I’ve been in my current place for a decade. I tried on my old suits last night (also not worn in years) and I can’t fit in them so I need new clothes. Normally for work I just wear nice dresses but feel I need to go smarter for interview especially as any men going for the job will be suited and booted and I don’t want to look casual by comparison.
Is a dress/jacket combination the done thing now? If so where do you get nice jackets? And would you go contrasting or play it really safe and get a dress/suit combo? I need new shoes too. Would you have expect to see heels or can I get away with flats?
I don’t mind spending a bit of money as my work wardrobe is in desperate need of an update- especially as I can’t fit into my smartest stuff.
