Good quality vest tops for layering

Started a new job recently, much more corporate and I am getting to grips with a smarter dress code!

My go to work ‘uniform’ is opaque tights, just above knee length skirt, brogues and a top and cardigan combo. I’ve got a number of skirts that I like and a few cardis, but I struggle with what should be the simplest part, the vest top or cami.

They are either really thin and see through ( top few buttons of cardi generally left open and I am quite busty so don’t want to be showing too much!) or too low cut, or too frilly and look like nightwear..

The cheap supermarket ones tend to look good for a few wears then become misshapen and loose colour after a few washes.

Please tell me your recommendations for thickish material, non see through, not too low cut vest tops that will last lots of washes and not loose colour..

I don’t mind spending a bit if it means they last.
