Improving skin on nose?!

Apologies for the close up but the skin on my nose needs help! I don’t think it’s blackheads but just a mix of small red bumps, open pores and just general blurgh. What skin regime would help? Rest of my skin is ok, no spots etc. Make up just sits in the pores!

Bumping as mine is similar

Try short massage with a few drops of any nice oil eg jojoba or even olive in evening and remove oil with flannel and warm water. I was really surprised how gentle and effective this was at decongesting even though I considered my nose oily.

PullingMySocksUp · 18/08/2019 15:07

I use a polyfiller type primer on mine. Blush
The err bourjois one I think.

Salicylic acid will do wonders. Start off with a low strength and build up if necessary.

The one from the Ordinary is crap compared to this.

Bloodycats · 18/08/2019 15:20

I think a clay mask would help.
Open your pores first and when it’s all washed off splash with cold water.

Bloodycats · 18/08/2019 15:22

Primer will only block it up more. A good scrub a couple of days a week wouldn’t hurt either

PullingMySocksUp · 18/08/2019 17:55

Primer helps with the open pores. Helps them look better under makeup, doesn’t get rid of them, obv.

Ilikecurrybest · 18/08/2019 19:08

I find clay masks help but the only thing that has really made a difference is this

Paula’s choice exfoliator

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 20/08/2019 19:24

Apple cider vinegar (organic with the mother) mixed with water is supposed to help when used as a toner.

Also cleansing with oil.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 20/08/2019 20:08

Mine is exactly the same - hoping you get some more responses!

Hotbiscuits · 20/08/2019 21:09

Oil cleanse, salicylic acid, squalene

HernameisGio · 22/08/2019 02:10

No.7 primer is good for big pores.

CrowleysBentley · 22/08/2019 19:30

My nose was similar, acombination of using a cleansing oil every evening to remove makeup and sunscreen (I use DHC), paula's choice bha daily, and a clay mask a couple of times a week (I like the Sukin super greens one) really helps.

A silicone based primer helps to even out the surface for makeup too. I'm using the maybelline baby skin one in the blue tube at the moment, but there are loads around.

justrestinginmybankaccount · 22/08/2019 19:36

@Ilikecurrybest yes I love Paula’s choice stuff too!

I have crappy skin like the OPs on my chin. I seem to go through a cycle - scrub scrub (the nip fab pads are amazing) ... that clears up my skin... then it goes into overload healing... and kinda seals over and can even peel... then it’s lovely... hen I notice it looking cloggy and the cycle happens all over again...

I use the mildest of everything but I need the salycilic acid to do anything. I don’t find any other product makes a blind bit of difference.

I even got one of those blackhead suction things which just terrified me and bruised me! And my skin looked the same! Same being crap!!
