Grey roots ash blonde

My hair is ash blonde (dyed ) and I can’t for the life of me find a dye which covers my grey roots which only seem to be at front of my hair for longer than a week . Any suggestions ? I can’t afford hairdressers colour at the moment

I feel your pain, no matter how long I leave the dye on, the greys just above my ears are back :( doesn’t help my hair is thin either. Only thing that works are the root touch up sprays eg l’oreal magic retouch, it’s like a coloured spray powder and lasts to next hair wash

OP - I saw and tried this - would've bought but they didn't have it in the salon - it's a spray and better than powder re-touchers in my opinion.

The Magic Retouch which 8Landgirl1* recommends doesn't have great reviews sadly, the other spray comes in warm and dark blonde if that works.

Sorry wasn’t recommending the l’oreal one, just to try a product like it !

Thanks it’s just really frustrating as it’s a stubborn patch at front of hair which just refuses to colour . My hairdresser when I was last there suggested highlights but I really don’t have or don’t want to spend the kind of cash that they would involve . I actually tried a gold liquid eyeshadow on them as an experiment and that did work

Do you use Nice and Easy ash blonde permanent dye? I find that gives the best coverage over my grey roots. Most of the other permanent box dyes I’ve tried seem to fade out after a couple of weeks.
