Like Converse lo but comfier/wider toes?

I love wearing converse with jeans, but they always rub my toes. Is there anything that looks exactly the same, but is slightly wider at the toe so it doesn't rub?

I'm the same as you love the look of converse, but although I've not got wide feet they still rub my toes. Surprisingly I bought a pair from matalan, cheap as chips and surprisingly comfy. As they are white I can afford to replace when they get grubby.

Fettfrett · 13/08/2019 14:35

I love converse but they're too narrow on the toe for me too so I have vans instead. Similar style but without your little toes nearly falling off after an hour.

InMySpareTime · 13/08/2019 14:46

Superga are wider than converse.

georgialondon · 13/08/2019 14:47

Definitely Supergra.

jessicama · 13/08/2019 14:50

I LOVE my Superga - have never got on with Converse very well

LJS8987 · 13/08/2019 15:04

Vans?

VittysCardigan · 13/08/2019 15:09

I love my mustangs

Adollop · 13/08/2019 15:17

Thanks!

Do Vans look like converse though ...? I always think they're a different shape ...

I'll have a look at them and Supergas and also the matalan ones.

rocketdogs are rounder and wider on the toe.

Constance1234 · 13/08/2019 15:22

I got a pair of Superga on the recommendation that they are wider than Converse, but they still rub my little toe 😭

Adollop · 13/08/2019 15:31

I need a wide toe, just bought a pair of the old school comfycush Vans and I love them, really comfy Smile

PeriComoToes · 13/08/2019 16:09

Rocket Dogs are awesome. I have bunions and I can walk for days in these.

Adollop · 13/08/2019 16:11

Do they look like converse? Any particular style I should search for?

Lndnmummy · 13/08/2019 16:11

Superga

Adollop · 13/08/2019 16:20

Thanks, they look ok, but not there in my size, 6.5 or 7.

I had this problem till I discovered that they did half sizes! Usually only in core colours - white, navy, red and a seasonal colour.

Funnily the size I was wearing seemed to fit me fine, but going a half size up makes a huge difference!

You can buy half sizes in some office stores - but they tend to be more expensive than anywhere else. I normally buy them online.

Lumene · 13/08/2019 17:28

You can get some that are similar- they have different colours too

dottyp0104 · 13/08/2019 18:24

Dunlops. I had the exact problem and they are much more comfortable. Also the bonus is they are a bargain from sports direct. I got mine and DD some for £9.99
