Deodorant that actually works (non aluminium)

I am trying to find a non aluminium deodorant that actually stops me smelling. I am not bothered about sweating, just odour, but everything I try without antiperspirant is useless. Or maybe it's because it's without aluminium

I have tried usual name brands and the mineral salt stick thing, but they don't cut it. I can notice I smell literally minutes after getting out of the shower.

Also, use soap in the shower and shower daily, avoid man made fibers etc. Still struggling.

Anyone recommend a deodorant that actually 'de' odours. Thanks.

Urtekram roll on is the best I have found.

Salt of the earth roll on (not the spray or stick, they are rubbish!)

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try those.

Rub a slice of fresh lemon on your armpits, it kills the smell causing bacteria.

This is a recent article by Sali Hughes (who I rate). Some of these might be worth a shot? www.theguardian.com/fashion/2019/jul/27/best-aluminium-free-deodorants-sali-hughes

I use this and it really works. naturaldeoco.com/

This pit putty is the best stuff I've ever used. I got it as a Christmas present and although it is expensive a tin lasts at least two months.

JaneJeffer · 13/08/2019 09:44

Bionsen. I get it in Tesco.

Another vote for Urtekram.

I've just bought nuud. So far so good. You only need a tiny bit and you only apply 2/3 times a week.

I use Bionsen. I've tried the stick, roll on, & spray, all good. I also switched to soap instead of shower gel some time ago after reading on MN that it helps with BO. Admittedly I'm not a particularly sweaty person, but now I barely have any smell at all unless you literally sniff my armpits after 24 hours.

I've tried so many including Bionsen, salt (in solid and liquid), Sanex and other big names that do aluminium-free, the Lush bars and powders, lemon, baking soda, Toms and they're all great until they're suddenly not Blush.

I struggle as I have a reaction (itchy, lumpy, red fire pits) to the aluminium but I can stink with out it.

So i'd be glad of suggestions too.

Tom's of Maine stick deodorant. It's really good. I work in the Middle East and it works brilliantly in the heat.

AntiHop · 14/08/2019 11:02

Nuud. Even though it says you don't need to apply it daily, I do anyway. You only need a tiny bit. I was really struggling before with snelling unfresh, and this stuff has really worked. You only need a tiny bit so it's not expensive.

I also highly rate Urtekram. I've been using it for years and find it highly effective.

Wellthatsit · 14/08/2019 11:58

Thanks everyone. Lots of options.
