The first one is the one I’ve gone for but I’m having doubts - do you think it’s a bit ‘much’?
The 2nd one is me in a more fitted style. I have quite square hips and a mum tum!
Opinions welcome Blush Ignore the artwork to try hide my ID/messy house Grin

Definitely the first dress but without a veil, it just doesn’t go.

I’m talking about getting some lace added like in this photo. As I get a stress rash on my chest and want something to distract people eyes!

Any veil on that dress spoils the detail on the back.

First dress definitely suits you best but please please don’t get more lace added across the chest. If anything, the upper half is already on the busy side and the glorious skirt would benefit from simplicity elsewhere. So leave it as it is! Get a makeup artist to do their magic to cover any rash on your chest instead.

I know a few people have said this but the veil and accessories in photo 1 do not match well with the dress. I’d lose the tiara as they seem very dated to me, and if you want hair sparkle, look up some of those gorgeous “hair vines” or some sort of fancy clip etc. If you’d like a veil, I think keep it incredibly simple. If you can get one that echoes the deep hem detail from your skirt, that would be ideal. I’d like full-length but finger-tip length could work too. The short one in your picture is far too full, I think, which makes it look old-fashioned and dated. Think sleek and allow the dress shine

In any case though, it’s a great dress for you. I don’t like any of the alternatives you posted, they all seem like dress styles from when I got married over a decade ago. Your dress is the right one for you.

First one is stunning on you - go for it Smile

There's enough detail. Its perfect as it is.

Also, adding something to the chest will draw the eye to the chest. If you want to draw the eye away from the chest do it with earrings or something else that will draw the eye elsewhere.

looksbetterwithoutthelipstick, to quote someone you do indeed just copy and paste their comment and highlight it in bold, MN doesn't have a proper quote option.

As I said upthread, I think the dress looks fantastic on you, very flattering and the back is especially stunning! Don't change a thing (definitely no extra lace), but sycamore is absolutely right, there is so much going on already (in a good way!) that the dress would really benefit from simplicity elsewhere. Find some fairly simple pearl earrings maybe, but no superfluous necklace, tiara or any more bling, it would just cheapen your lovely dress.

Loopytiles · 13/08/2019 11:18

No to the extra lace!

I get that kind of rash, also get a rash when I drink alcohol, could be seen even through a thin layer like that (my dress had one, not specifically to try to cover it up), but it was OK, I still looked fab Grin

Love the first dress! It’s got such a pretty back as well, I would skip the veil as it hides some of the lovely detail

Tighnabruaich · 13/08/2019 17:03

The third one suits you best.

ALFIEBOBO · 13/08/2019 17:17
