Apparently these are really fashionable. Is it just me, or are they a bit (whisper) frumpy?

I love them - the wool ones. They are definately geek chic though! I am also a Birkenstock lover!
Very comfortable, warm, can wash in machine.

I look like my grandma going bowling in them Grin. Maybe I shouldn't have chosen coffee colour, also known as beige!

l have 2 pairs but then l'm a Kiwi there are some amazing colours to be had plus special editions.
Wool recycled plastic and soya bean are great selling points.

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 11/08/2019 12:40

I hadn't heard of them and first saw them on a trainers thread yesterday - they look like Skechers to me.

Shitonthebloodything · 11/08/2019 12:52

Just had to Google them. Definite granny shoes.

goose1964 · 11/08/2019 14:46

I like them but I'd want at least 2 pairs for the price. I am a granny so don't care if anyone thinks they're granny shoes

tonsattingforbjudes · 11/08/2019 15:04

Frankly, once I put them on my feet I couldn't have cared what they looked like. Comfort like no other and I love the fact they're made sustainably. It's a bonus that I think they're rather cute in a geeky kind of way!

CheckingOutTheQuantocks · 11/08/2019 16:15

These seem to me to be perfectly inoffensive, comfortable shoes - it's not like they're covered with embroidered flowers or made of shiny bronze pleather.

On another note. Can we not use the word "granny" as a derogatory term for things on a forum which is frequented by many older women, some of whom are actually grannies and don't really appreciate being used as a byword for a hopeless lack of style?

gower4 · 11/08/2019 18:10

Meghan Markle wears them, as does Barack Obama apparently.

I saw them on Esther Coren’s blog a while back. Presumably they could only be worn on dry days, so not much use in the U.K.? I actually quite like the look of them.

nzborn · 11/08/2019 23:00

l am currently wearing them in wet Scotland l just dry them like any other shoe if they get dirty l wash them in the washing machine.

WanderingTrolley1 · 11/08/2019 23:00

They’re awful.
