Help with yellow hair

Mamalicious16 · 11/08/2019 00:08

I've really ballsed up this time
My highlights were looking brassy. Saw what I thought was a bleach product made by twisted lemon. Nope. It's twisted lemon by the bleach company ( or something).
Anyway I've now got horrid YELLOW hair!
What can I use to get my hair back to normal
Another 3 weeks to hairdresser appt and at £80 I'm not going earlier- what can I buy from superdrug etc that will get me back to.an.ash blonde colour.

Thanks

Use and shoulders shampoo frequently to strip the dye as much as possible. If it does fade, start using purple toning shampoo/masks to ashen the tone again

Just found the product you used online, it’s a semi permanent wash in/out product so hopefully it should fade with vigorous washing

Head & shoulders shampoo*

Could have been worse

(I mean, great if these colours float your boat but obviously not what you were after!)

Looks like a lot of washing is your best bet.

Wash your hair with washing up liquid and use a conditioning mask.

It looks like they have a shampoo to fade the fashion colours faster:

Try using Charles Worthing UltraViolet - it will take away any brassy tones in one wash. You can leave it on longer and get a sort of purple-grey tone which can look quite good too.
I have bleached hair and swear by this stuff

Any of those purple shampoos are meant to work. There’s loads on the market at the minute. Do that as a first option?

Update

2 washes with head and shoulders and 2 with purple shampoo. It's still yellow but at least it's not as vibrant now.

Thanks all

Try a purple hair mask and leave it on for 10 minutes
