well , sort of .
Marrying dp ( lived together 25 years ) at the registry office in November . no fuss no frills . No guests whatsoever and nobody knows about it .
Usually we are jeans and t.shirt people but i would like to wear something a little bit nicer than that for getting married .

Also , going to a wedding in December so if it was something i could wear for that as well it would be good although not essential .
Any suggestions ? I am 44 , 5ft 1 , size 10 .

What's your budget? I'd use it as the excuse to get amazing dress in a colour that best suits you, so you can wear it again whenever you want to feel amazing. Personally, I'd choose a Westwood.

I love the dress Remus has picked. The outnet regularly has Vivienne Westwood at reasonable prices although you have to check regularly and then grab it fast.

Or alternatively, if you're a jeans person, is there a high end brand you've always hankered after but could never justify? Then you'd have something you'd get loads of wear out of afterwards. Hiut? or Blackhorse Lane Ateliers? Disclaimer - I've never bought either, just seen recommendations on here. And maybe a silk shirt instead of a T? Or a silk T.

That dress looks like a sensible buy remus , its nice , id wear it . Not sure i feel too excited about it though .

Ah sorry, you'd like something you could wear to another wedding. Jeans probably not the solution then, however fancy. That'll teach me to read to the end. Blush

There are a few other Westwood dresses on the same site. I just chose the one I'd most like in my wardrobe!

This is hit and miss but, if you want something special and you're anywhere near London, it's one of my favourite shops in the world. Don't be put off by the home page - it's alternative but it's not all whimsical. www.wallandjones.com/clothes

I think they still do custom made too although I'm not sure how long it takes.

I like coast or Ted Baker for a wedding

thefootofourstairs · 10/08/2019 11:28

jeans could work Floisme , doesnt absolutely have to be worn again for a wedding although i do struggle to find jeans to fit . The shop looks interesting but sadly i'm a long way from London !
I will have a look at Ted baker Doidonti , had forgotten about them .

Love it, but they also do them in pink green and blue, which you could wear again, or you could dye it!
