Anyone doing Facercises/Eva Fraser, or similar?

After searching online for ways to reduce my under eye bags I came across both Carol and Eva Fraser’s books on facial exercises to reduce the signs of ageing. I am turning 40 this month and even though I don’t struggle too much with wrinkles/sagging skin I have noticed a definite change in the appearance of my face for the worse overnight the past year or so! So, being the sheep that I am I ordered both Grin
I started with Eva Fraser’s basic routine a couple of days ago, including the facial massage/pressure points/tapping. It’s quite a faff at first but I must admit my face is glowing, my eye bags have reduced (probably the massage/pressure points) and I am feeling muscles in my cheeks which I didn’t know I had! So, so far I’m impressed!
Just wondering if anyone else follows any routine and if you feel it has made a difference longterm?

Hi Summers, yes I do Eva Fraser - and love it. My face was really starting to sag before I discovered them nearly 6 years ago. I feel my skin is better now than it was then. The lower facelift exercise is a miracle worker! However after a couple of years I felt I had reached a plateau. Plus the glove exercises irritated the insides of my cheeks. So I now do Ageless if you dare exercises as well, as they are resistance exercises but you don’t put fingers inside your mouth. I feel they are a natural progression after mastering Eva’s exercises. Though I still do many Eva exercises still too.

Planning on doing these as I don't want jowls!

Hi Ohee, oh wow it’s so great to hear that it’s working for you! I keep hearing from friends and family that it’s a ridiculous idea to try and slow down the signs of aging with exercises but there are so many good reviews out there I really wanted to give it a go. And thank you so much for the tip, I’ll check out Ageless if you dare too.
Out of interest, do you follow her skincare advice? I can’t quite bring myself to ditch my No 7 and only use petroleum jelly on my face Grin

What's the lower facelift exercise of which you speak?

wiltingflower · 09/08/2019 14:22

This is really interesting! How long did you have to do the face exercises before seeing results?

SummersB · 09/08/2019 14:22

Bloomed, Eva Fraser has written an exercise book to work out the muscles of your face and neck to reverse the signs of ageing. You can get it on Amazon. A couple of the advanced exercises in the book are designed to strengthen the jawline. Other books are available but I went with Eva Fraser’s as it seems quite straight forward and easy to follow, and has really good reviews

Thanks. I've ordered.

Ooh let me know how you get on! I’ve only just started them myself!

Hi Summers, no I dont use petroleum jelly - though there’s a whole thread on the benefits of it As a final stage at night. I just don’t like the idea of it - so I just use balms like lush ultra balm for when I do eye exercises etc. for normal skincare I use glycolic, lactic, retinol etc - mainly by the ordinary.
Bloomed I talked about the lower facelift exercise in another mumsnet thread. It’s one of Eva’s free exercises you can get on her website and when you google Eva and daily mail. when I first started doing it I did it about 20 times a day - not just 3 as she recommends. But that was b4 I got the book.(though I still do it about 15 times a day every second day( Here’s the link I mentioned: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/3647847-For-heaven-s-sake-I-m-old
