Red patch on skin and discolouration

Been noticing a brownish red patch in my cheeks since a week. Exactly same place in both cheeks. Have not changed any skincare recently. I am 39 with some acne scars but this feels like a bigger version of an acne scar but had no acne before there. Anyone had this before, any advice will be much appreciated.

Is it pigmentation?

Could it be rosacea. Without seeing it it's difficult.

Are you on the contraceptive pill? It can cause hyperpigmentation if you are exposed to UV rays. It's hard to tell from your pic, but wear a high SPF every day.
