How to style clothes

I always struggle to style clothes. I've looked on Pinterest but always get a bit lost. I'm not on Instagram - do I need to be?

I prefer to people-watch IRL and 'borrow' ideas from people I think look good.

In a Devon market town, the style standard is not high on average, so it's easy to spot the good uns. I borrow their best ideas if they are of similar build and age, and admire the leggy lovely teenage girls I wasn't one.
