Shoes for a Midi dress in the rain

I’ve finally found a midi dress that doesn’t make me feel frumpy! I would normally wear it with sandals or trainers but I’m Going out for a nice meal tomorrow and the weather is supposed to be hideous. What type of shoes would you wear?

I wore white ankle boots with my midi dress the other night, when it poured down. I liked the look.

Leather(ette) trainers

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2019 16:33

Leather trainers or heeled ankle boots.

Ohyesiam · 08/08/2019 16:35

Brogues

Waggily · 08/08/2019 17:21

Gah, I have none of those. It might just have to be sandals and a taxi.

Yes yes to white ankle boots - me too. Or any kind of ankle boot or shoe boot?

OpenYourEyes · 08/08/2019 18:57

Converse, ankle boots, cow boy boots

Depends on the dress

oohwowzer · 08/08/2019 19:57

ankle boots

Nice Trainers

I have Gazelles in varying colours and my new favourites are a pair of white Stan Smiths size 5 child so half price

All of my trainers are kids price

IDGAF any more and certainly in pissing rain would not be wearing my good shoes or sandals

Waggily · 09/08/2019 12:51

It turns out my dark red puma trainers match the pattern perfectly so i’m Going with those. Thanks for your help. It’s made me realise I need some inbetween shoes though. Stupid British weather!

I've got the problem tonight. Off out. Need to catch train and walk outside around 10 mins either side of train. I have Chelsea boots which I could wear with tights or sandals but it's hot so I'm just gonna risk the sandals!!
