Hi

I'm starting to do my own nails after been put on a budget by my not D H AngryGrin. What are the best at home Gel nail polishes out there that don't chip/peel off in a day? I use base and top coat and cuticle oil.

Why not splash out on one of the lamps and do your own gel polish

I have a lamp. Blue sky polish is cheap and seems to do the job. It saves loads - was spending >50£ per month, now I spend zilch and do my toes!

I was thinking of that actually as it seems the lamps will pay for themselves quite quickly ?

I have had a mylee lamp for a couple of weeks and so far so good! There were some offers on group on. Polishes are £5+ on ebay/amazon x

I’ve got the mylee lamp and have got half a dozen polishes. I was surprised how easy it all was to do (have a steady hand and many many many years of conventional nail polishing experience!)
Soak off is a PITA though, I’ve found that the nail clothes peg things that are a couple of quid off eBay have helped. It’s all paid for itself in 4 ‘goes’ and I wish I’d bought it all years ago
