How do I stop my foundation looking cakey between the eyes?

Does anyone else find they can apply their foundation in a way that looks flawless, but after half an hour the little bit between their eyebrows starts to look cakey and flaky?

What causes this??

I’ve been focusing on exfoliating and moisturising the area really well, but that hasn’t helped.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Do you wear primer? Do you pluck/thread your eyebrows?

Maybe you skin is oily there, or your foundation is getting caked in peach fuzz hair. Don't over exfoliate, it'll only strip your skin. Another thing to try is fixing with a light setting powder.

I sometimes get this at my nose if I apply too much or don't blend fully. Of course I don't usually spot it until lunch time!

Thank you :)

I use Maybelline baby skin instead of primer, as it’s the only thing I’ve found that helps cover the massive pores on my cheeks.

I occasionally get my eyebrows waxed, I haven’t paid enough attention to notice if it still happens straight afterwards. I’ll have to test it out after my appointment next week.

Wax, or shave the area with one of those tiny razors, I bet it's the fine vellus hair sticking to and picking up the makeup.
