Where do you buy your work trousers (smart)?

Natural fabric, no polyester!

I need full length, and probably straight leg ( definitely not tapered or cropped). Grey or black.

I’m not sure where to start.

Next have quite a range.

BusyMumHere · 08/08/2019 08:04

I get mine from Hobbs. I buy them when they are on sale.

Cos or Jigsaw are both my go to for this. Also John Lewis when I filter my searches online often have nice ones from different own brands.

balonzz · 08/08/2019 08:08

Another vote for Jigsaw - fabulous work trousers.

I have a lovely pair of cropped slacks from H&M. They're around 3 years old now but h&m had a rack of similar ones last time I was in. I'm not sure if they've changed the fabric mix though.

Uniqlo

Deathraystare · 08/08/2019 09:00

I wore some lovely ones from Debenhams - I think the Star range from a designer -Julien something- they were very slightly cropped and the pockets were zipped. They were Polyester but believe you me much better on me than Viscose which is the very devil for me!

Boden

matahairyy · 08/08/2019 15:32

IMO it’s the waist that’s the issue. Long waist do marks or Boden. Short try Gap or sometimes Next

matahairyy · 08/08/2019 15:33

Jigsaw long waist and leg length only ok if you’re a 30 inch inside leg. Any taller won’t work

jcurve · 08/08/2019 15:36

Jigsaw 100%. I have bought 3 pairs of their Paris trousers as they are such workhorses, and a kind sales assistant told me you can actually machine wash them (supposedly dry clean only).

Unlike the previous poster I find Jigsaw to be pretty good for length. I’ve got a 33” inseam.

matahairyy · 08/08/2019 15:40

Really? Two pairs of Paris too short for me. Someone can have them for cash dollar if they want. 12

LemonGingerCakes · 08/08/2019 15:41

Thank you.

I never thought about Jigsaw! Don’t know why.

I normally love Uniqlo, but have never got on with their bottoms.

You’ve reminded me to have a wander round a John Lewis to look at the different brands in there. I always used to buy next, but they don't have what I need this time.

I have quite a long waist, but am not quite tall enough to wear cropped trousers - they make me look much shorter and wider than I am.

Boden Richmond then

matahairyy · 08/08/2019 15:42

It’s a pita having a short waist
