I have blonde sparse eyebrows and fed up of pencilling in, thinking of microblading but scared!

I thought about microblading about 18 months ago and decided I was too scared to do it in the end! I started having my brows HD'd and I love it, it keeps my brows in such a good shape that it doesn't take long to fill in bits with a pencil once the dye has faded.

The only place I would go to for microblading would be somewhere that does it regularly. My HD technician has trained for microblading but she doesn't get many requests for it - good as she is at HD I would rather go to someone with plenty of experience with lots of different clients.

Just be warned with microblading - however great it looks (and it does, I had it too), there are a limited number of times you can have it because it will eventually create scar tissue. For that reason I switched to SPM ombré brows. Just healing from my first pass now and going back at the end of the month for my top up.

I had ombré brows done and I absolutely love them. They are so natural, people were amazed and I’ve had so many compliments from strangers as well as friends!

I had henna brows yesterday to fill in gappy eyebrows, I LOVE the result, was also looking into microblading but glad I took the henna route.

Off to research henna and ombre now :)

The scarring is a great point - I hadn't thought of that, thank you!

I just dye mine. You can get them done professionally, probably a good idea for the first time. I buy the dye kit in Boots and do it at home once a month or so, probably less often!

ooooohbetty · 08/08/2019 08:28

I had mine done last year but it wasn't successful because I have oily skin. The ends of my eyebrows look smudged. This is a common problem. Next time I'll get powder ombré. I'd say do loads of research, don't go for any cut price deals on groupon and choose someone whose work you've seen in real life.

I had mine done a month ago. This is just after the treatment - they have lightened since. No scarring or horrendous flaking either. Very subtle and makes my life much easier in the morning, after gym etc - I look much more done and can wear less make up

My sister had hers micro bladed they look good but she has olive skin,
She said she found it very painful though.

KatharinaRosalie · 09/08/2019 13:01

Mine are tattoo, I think it's the same as the ombre brow. Before and after attached. Very happy. Did not hurt at all.

Had my first henna brows and delighted. On holiday it seems to last much longer than my usual tint and fills in my gaps brilliantly
