going blonde to hide greys/whites

Needing some advice.....my medium brown hair is going pretty grey now sides round the temples, I have quite fine hair so the top layer doesnt really hide the greys underneath. I have been blonde before but the upkeep was really difficult and pricey. I had a hair disaster last year with colour b4 and then a bad dye job which made me go too dark. The past year I have been getting it back in good condition and using instant root coverage products in between dying it myself (I tend to just do my roots).......I don't really want to try using bleach at home. Would any of you ladies recommend highlights and lowlights?

Hi,I think highlights are a good idea and mask greys well.
Could you find a recommendation for a mobile hairdresser? I use one and I pay him £50 for a whole head of highlights and that's in London. Would cost me about £150 in a salon I think?
