Men’s outfit for summer wedding help!

Morning all

Despite having a years notice, my husband has just decided he has no clue what to wear to a friends wedding in 10 days! I’m also stuck, and wondered if you might be better than me at knowing what’s appropriate please?

It’s a Friday wedding at a casual venue/farm barn. Not church. Men in the wedding party are wearing tweed waistcoats and bow ties I believe.

My daughter is a flower girl so he’s concerned well look very odd if we don’t make enough effort but he doesn’t think he needs a full suit as it’s not a church.

Budget is tight, but if smart chinos could do them he can also wear them for work. He has a grey suit at home that fits, but isn’t very nice and a royal blue suit.

Thanks so much in advance

smart chinos and a shirt? do you know anyone else who is going? if so i would send a quick text asking what they are wearing x

Thank you! If you think smart chinks are okay, I’ll tell him to order them and they’ll do for work. We’re 40 and it’s a young wedding so we didn’t want to look like old losers 😂

Formal = morning coat (not applicable)
Less Formal = suit (not applicable)
Smart casual = chinos / smart shirt / smart shoes (appropriate!)

Smart chinos and a nice shirt - not a t shirt or polo shirt . And not white, too boring .

Oh yes and NOT trainers on his feet please
