Where to get stretchy trousers or elasticated waists

Hello

Been recently seen by a stylist who has told me my body shape is oval or apple. Slim legs but jelly belly!!

I love jeans and trousers which show off my legs yet I need to buy a size 14 in order to be able to fasten then! This then makes my legs and arse look huge as they are too big.

So I need advise as to where to go to get jeans and trousers for work which will stretch or have elasticated waistline

I'm only 43 and pretty trendy to don't want to look like an old lady Wink

I have three pair of these for work, they are half elasticated at the back, super comfy and smart. www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-ezy-ankle-length-trousers-l28-420345.html

DidgeDoolittle · 06/08/2019 20:56

You need to try Robell trousers. They are stretchy, flattering and comfortable.

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 06/08/2019 20:58

I have two pairs of stretchy elasticated jeans from Next. I love them. They do light denim, dark denim and black.

PeoniesarePink · 06/08/2019 21:05

M & S do a tapered leg or skinny fit in their trousers .... I need a bigger size for my tummy than my legs, and find these a good compromise. I wear a lot of black skinny jeggings too.

Hello1290 · 06/08/2019 21:06

I am a similar shape and H and M jeggings and jeans fit me well.

Whitegrenache · 06/08/2019 21:06

Thanks all - will have a look at all of these! The uniqlo website looks great - unfortunately I don't have a store near to me. But will try on line I think the robello ones are they only internet order?

Roman originals, I ordered a pair of their cropped trousers on the recommendation of a mnetter and now have multiple pairs in various lengths and colours. Stretchy, no buttons or zips, stay up over my huge belly without being too tight or falling down whilst simultaneously hugging my bum and legs which are my best bits. Love love love them.

M&S high waisted jeggings - £15 and the best I've come across 👍

Whitegrenache · 06/08/2019 21:18

I have found a store in Newcastle who stock robell trousers Grin

Uniqlo - all those stretchy pants! Amazing. Robell can be bought in Lakeland Leather if you're inclined to take a day trip to Windermere.

DidgeDoolittle · 06/08/2019 22:58

You can buy Robell in quite a few shops, but also from Amazon.

Jaffacakebeast · 06/08/2019 23:01

Maternity jeans ?

Easilyflattered · 07/08/2019 08:10

I find next, Wallis and a brand called d jeans which TKmaxx gets sometimes are good for this body shape.

Skyejuly · 07/08/2019 08:15

I'm the same. I currently live in peacocks trousers. Elasticated...cheap...x

Watching with interest, as I have tried on and sent back about 20 pairs of trousers this year.

CassianAndor · 07/08/2019 09:02

nice ageism, there, OP.

Hush do trousers with elasticated waists.

Singleandproud · 07/08/2019 09:03

I just ordered those Uniqlo ones and they are brilliant got them for £7 in their sale! One of my very slender colleagues recommended them to me and I didn’t have much hope as I’m a 16 but they fit brilliantly and have a lovely shape.

Monkeybunkey · 07/08/2019 09:13

I've got these in black and grey: www.peacocks.co.uk/lds-trouser-bengaline-fd0997.html. I'm a 12-14 (slim legs, bigger tummy) and the 12 fits me fine.

chasingseagulls · 07/08/2019 09:13

Cos is good for this. Toast do some in about 5 different colours, not cheap but great quality and wash well.

MaybeDoctor · 01/09/2019 14:14

Just to say thanks for the Roman recommendation. I am currently wearing my new cropped trousers: they look good and have at least increased my summer dressing options!

Elmashbu · 01/09/2019 17:31

Asda do some tregging style trousers - they look a lot nicer than they sound.

yellowsun · 02/09/2019 23:39

I have this same problem but also have a 33 inch leg which makes it even harder. Really need some trousers for work!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 02/09/2019 23:44

Robells are what you’re after.
Supremely comfy, lotss of choice of colours and different lengths.
I have a local independent clothes shop that sells them so it’s worth seeing what’s in your area.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 02/09/2019 23:53

I also bought Roman Originals cropped trousers after that original thread recommending them. Wouldn't have considered them but they are a real find!
