Channelling my inner Angelina

I just wanted to share the best dress I have ever bought. I wanted something comfy and loose to travel in on a long haul flight but still feel smart.
Saw Angelina Jolie in the newspapers recently and then found this after searching Angelina kaftan dress. It came up with this. I ordered it in Navy and have now ordered the pink.
Luxurious feeling fabric. Not see through. Really smart and soooooo comfy.
I'm 5,7" and a size 10 and it fits perfectly and ends mid calf.
10% off my first order too

I’d look like a sack of spuds in that

VeThings · 06/08/2019 17:16

You’d have to be tall and willowy (and not have big boobs) to carry that off

ultrababy · 06/08/2019 17:16

With a belt maybe?

I love Arket, but it's like Cos for me, I look like a heifer that's run amok at a village fete and has collapsed a marquee on itself.

Cookit · 06/08/2019 17:23

I reckon it could work if you look like a model.

championquartz · 06/08/2019 17:26

Or my friend says, if it’s a paler piece of clothing - ‘like a full moon in a fog’

ultrababy · 06/08/2019 17:34

I'm not convincing anyone am I ? 😂😂😂

Bigpaintinglittlepainting · 06/08/2019 17:37

I would look like an escapee from a cult in that, I’m a shortarse though

Orchidflower1 · 06/08/2019 17:39

You’re tall and slim op.

I am short and dumpy so I’d look I was wearing my grans nightie!

I do prefer the blue though!

ultrababy · 06/08/2019 17:44

Maybe I've got it wrong. Maybe I look dreadful!!!! I shall take a photo and you will point out the error of my ways 😀

It would reach the floor on me

PeriComoToes · 06/08/2019 17:59

Love arket but find it hard going on my fuller figure. Quality is brilliant though. If I was willowy I would shop there all the time.

Yes please to pic!

blubelle7 · 06/08/2019 22:59

I love kaftans. Am African though and a lot of our fashion is similar, ranging in different lengths and bright patterns and colours (some bejewelled) with a matching headscarf usually. Can be dressed down or up. I love them and love wearing them, but am not thin and willowy so prefer wearing them at home but rock it if you feel comfortable. All that matters is that you like it

LaCerbiatta · 07/08/2019 07:54

I love it! I'm a bit shorter at 5,6" but I think I could pull it off. Is the material stiff or doft?

SouthWestmom · 07/08/2019 07:59

I loved it until I opened the picture and realised it was so long. All Saints have similar shorter styles in the sale.

Soola · 07/08/2019 10:35

I prefer to have my waist defined. I’ve got this and you can wear it loose or cinched in

Reminds me of those hospital gowns you see in American medical dramas. Sorry. Lovely colour of pink though.

managedmis · 07/08/2019 12:18

Meh not keen tbh

thisisallnewtome8 · 07/08/2019 14:13

Completely forgot to take a photo last night. Will do it on the weekend when I have time. Fabric isn't stiff but not floaty either and quite confident it won't be all creased. Did I mention it has pockets!! Love the &other stories dress ❤️

StCharlotte · 07/08/2019 19:57

, I look like a heifer that's run amok at a village fete and has collapsed a marquee on itself.

Thank you for that! Grin

I am your twin!!!!

SinglePringle · 08/08/2019 13:32

I’m 5’8 and size 10 and have this dress. I love it!

banivani · 08/08/2019 15:10

I bought this Uniqlo dress www.uniqlo.com/se/en/product/women-rayon-34-sleeved-belted-dress-418613.html?dwvar_418613_color=COL32&dwvar_418613_size=SMA001&cgid=IDshirtdress12811

in navy this summer and by god it's fabulous. I wear it without the belt and just waft. IMO the belt looks a bit desperate (on me). I subscribe very much to the idea that "you see the problem by the camouflage", ie everyone is just going to notice how I'm trying to emphasise my waist to look smaller. So I'm owning the tentness. It's wonderful.

thisisallnewtome8 · 08/08/2019 16:08

I just realised I've name changed back to my old user name. I love that uniqlo dress also.
