Help me find a bag that won't give me backache!

I carry a laptop to and from each day on top of all the other crap i carry - notebook, kindle, water bottle, coffee cup, lunch etc...I've currently got a massive canvas tote which i can just about get everything in but it is killing my shoulder. I also sometimes ending carrying my two year old to/from nursery as we can't always get on the bus when it's busy.. i basically just get loaded up with a toddler and bags!

I really don't want a backpack, i tend to be dressed quite smart and am not sure it would work with what i wear!? Is there another alternative that won't leave me with constant shoulder and back ache?!? Are there such things as stylish backpacks?!

With all that stuff you have to carry would you consider a rolling laptop bag? Basically a bag on wheels but there are some very swish ones and I think they’ll become really popular. Something like this

I have a bad back and tried many things, including a pull along bag.

I have a Mia tui "sydney" backpack which is quite smart & does the job.

Does it matter whether it goes with smart clothes when you're just in your way to work?

I've had the same struggle for years and dress smartly so avoided backpacks...have just given in and bought a gorgeous soft black leather backpack from Clarks and honestly, I love it. (Kin at John Lewis also have some nice options). I think it looks really stylish with a trench coat for work
