Im having a winter holiday in the Tyrol and whilst I wont be ski-ing I'll be snowshoeing, sledging and going on organised treks. Its the first time I'm doing this and Im clueless as to what I need by way of snow wear. I'll also be staying in a small town for a few days where it doesn't usually snow and I dont know what kind of footwear to take with me.

Any help will be appreciated.

you'll most likely need a jacket like this, and perhaps waterproof trousers with baselayers underneath too. depending on the temperature i would bring a fleece/baselayer too so you are warm enough. in terms of the small town, i would bring some boots like these so your feet are warm x

I recommend you get a pair of Sorel boots, expensive but worth every penny

Sorels. Definitely.
And ski pants and jacket. With ice breaker base layer and a thin fleece.

Thank you :) Ive spent a few days looking at whats been suggested and I have a good idea now as to whats what. I would have liked to have bought a few items in the sales that are now on but I had WLS a few months ago and by holiday time I'll be a shadow of my former self and things bought now would be huge.

The sorel boots look lovely and they go up to my size which is a uk size 10 so Ive bought a few pair of shoes from the site just because I could. Im always on the lookout for suppliers.

Thank you :)
