New work style - help!

Evening all. I have my own business consultancy, have been in large corporate a long time and have a certain ‘uniform’. Pivoting to work with startups who are based in WeWorks etc and my corporate dress stands out like a sore thumb. I want to reinvent myself into some sort of style that says ‘classy, not overdressed, not mumsy, possibly a bit edgy’. I’m thinking Jeans/jeans type trousers, boots/heels, draped tops (bit self conscious about my tum) and blazers/structured jackets with some statement necklaces/earrings. If it helps I’m 5’9” and a size 12/14. Any ideas??

I'd start with a good pair of raw denim jeans. Have a look at Blackhorse Lane Atelier (they're London's only craft jeans maker). Their East London factory is currently closed for the summer holidays but they have literally just opened a shop at Coal Drop Yard by King's Cross. You will definitely get approval from your start-up clients. They also offer free repairs for life.

And definitely don't wear heels!

For jewellery, have a look at Shaun Leane. Nothing too out there but it has an edge - and he's very well respected in fashion circles due to his significant collaborative work with Alexander McQueen.

Cos, Arket, MeandEm, Winser London probably all worth a look. But agree with no heels, Oxfords or Derbys from places like Grenson (or these loafers are an absolute bargain if they have your size) or possibly Rogue Matilda (love their shoes but some designs a bit wacky possibly for your needs).
