Which facial oil for moisturising?

I've been using the same brand of skin care for a few years now but it doesn't include a face oil. I used to do this and my skin loved it so I'd like to restart this.

I used to use a Clarins oil, Decleor & Neroli or I used to buy Vit E capsules, break them open and add 2 drop of lavender essential oil.

Before I dust off my wallet can anyone talk to me about what facial oils (not cleaner) they use for face massage and moisturising?

I have used Madara superseed oils - both the radiant energy and soothing hydration versions. They have the most intoxicating scent and are well-absorbed without being greasy. I mix it in with moisturiser in the day, and use it neat at night, and I believe it brightens my skin.

For the eye, I use Votary which is more expensive then Madara but lasts for a long time. The cold metal roller ball applicator is pleasant.

Vitamin E on its own might be a bit strong for me - gave me facial redness and mild rash, but it works well on other parts of the body on scars.

I have just discovered facial oil and I'm using one by ELF. Love it but have nothing to compare it to

I like rushing jojoba oil. For night I like Dr Alkaitis Elixir- a bottle lasts a year so less pricey than it seems at first.

ZazieTheCat · 02/08/2019 12:53

Fushi not rushing!

I love the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Oil. I even add a drop to my foundation to make it all dewy

Rosehip oil is lovely. I’m really impressed with it

Jojoba oil. Holland & Barrett.

I like Kiehls midnight recovery. I don't always use it but you can tell when I have the next morning. My skin looks far better, I should probably start using it more often.

I like Nuke but I was also pleasantly surprised by Garnier’s lavender facial oil.

Nuxe *

I use Waitrode Pure facial oil - it's £6 for 30ml, which is barely noticeable alongside the £££ you'll spend in there at the same time...Grin

I have used Neals Yard rose facial oil for years and I love it
Get lots of compliments on my skin

Wiglio · 03/08/2019 16:05

Agree with Rosey, Waitrose Pure facial oil

Lobsterquadrille2 · 03/08/2019 16:39

I love The Ordinary rosehip oil.

Trixya · 03/08/2019 16:43

I like the Clarins Blue Orchid oil and the REN one Smile

Depends on your skin type really. I am currently using Dr Hauschka clarifying day oil, I have combination skin and its somehow reducing the oiliness of the oily bits and nicely moisturising on the normal bits. I also really like squalane oil.

LoafofSellotape · 03/08/2019 17:22

I use avacado oil from Waitrose,it's about £4 in the oil section and is amazing,I decant it to a pretty bottle.

I just bought DEcleor Neroli again. I will try some of the others though.
