Oily pigmented skin in pregnancy

Do you ladies have any advice for skin care products I can use to control my very sensitive, oily and pigmented skin during pregnancy?

My skin really reacts to most oily skin products so I tend towards using sensitive sling products. I also have a bit of melasma around my forehead and eye sockets (didn’t go after my previous pregnancy) so have to wear a v high SPF.

I currently use:
Cleanser-Elemis Pro Collagen Balm (with flannerl)
Moisture-Origins Ginzing SPF40 Tinted Mosituriser it Laura Mercier SPF20 Oil free tinted moisturiser
Overnight-The Ordinary Vit C 23% Serum

I think I can keep using the above. But I have loved using Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliant every few days, it is my saviour. But I’m a bit nervous about using BHA in pregnancy.

Any tips?

I had similar skin issues at the beginning of this pregnancy. Incan share what a cousin (make up artist) recommended I do to reduce the oil and smooth out my skin:

Simplified my skin routine entirely to:
Detox pore minimising face mask 1-2 x a week
Bareminerals blemish anti imperfection serum (reduced my oily skin and face feels much much smoother)
And then usual spf moisturiser

I don't know much about the products you've mentioned but hope this helps.

Isn't pregnancy grand?

@nuggles a joy isn’t it!? I’ve usually foot quite oily skin but pregnancy adds dullness and pigmentation to the mix. What about this glow I hear of?

Thanks for the tip, I’m in the market for a serum so will take a look at the bare minerals one.

@CycleWoman 31 weeks here and still waiting for this glow to appear. Spots and panda eyes galore.

Bareminerals is good, bit strong smelling but could be worse.

Hope you find something that works for you
