Hi i've just bought \link{https://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/dresses-442/linen-blend-belted-pinafore-dress-8773552?geoip=noredirect&cmpid=ppc_pla_UK_ip&utm_medium=cpc&tsrc=vdna&istCompanyId=38aa0d7f-6514-4cb3-bbdc-df0d32d48b7f&istFeedId=a21748eb-2fe6-47b2-bb85-98b6bd5b1f3f&istItemId=watllrrrt&istBid=tztx&gclid=CjwKCAjw1f_pBRAEEiwApp0JKMg1-PbiO9oDEcdqiq07P0T72ZaWqpqy0PkxbLUSWaf5mxKmjeM3FRoCMpEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds\this} which is really nice but slightly baggy under the arms and the straps could do with being a bit tighter.

Where do it take it in, directly under the arms in a 'v' shape? and the straps at the back? i don't have a machine so would hand sew

The link isn't working for me. Could you take to a dressmaker? Usually would cost around £10-£15 for simple alterations and they'd know where best to take in.

Link works for me .

Yes ,try with safety pins first under arms to check fit . The straps either fold on them selves and sew across or release stitching where they join the back and slide further in . Restitch .

Although make sure you wash it first . It looks loose on model and the wash might soften the fabric enough for it to look ok
