Is Dior Lipglow worth it?

I keep reading about it, is it the HG of lip balms?
How's the staying power?

It’s a posh lip balm. Nice packaging though.

RogueV · 30/07/2019 18:11

Just googled it.
I’m sold already!

BringMeTea · 30/07/2019 18:23

I like it in the original shade. Mind you I paid ££ for by Terry lip balm so I may not be the best person to ask. I prefer the texture to the By Terry one actually.

PinkFoxglove · 30/07/2019 18:30

I'm sucked in by the marketing but I can't work out if it's a balm, a stain or both.
Tempted by the coral or original pale pink. Which would you recommend for someone with olive skin, blue eyes and mousy hair?

I had it before and it was okay, for a nice lip balm I prefer the Bobbi Brown one in a tin and I’m also really interested by their lip tints as well as YSL

BringMeTea · 30/07/2019 21:54

Can you get to a store to try shades?

Sarahlouiseis33 · 04/08/2019 14:51

I have the coral one and while I love it, not sure I can justify over £20 for a lip balm considering how quickly I go through it! Shock

Soola · 04/08/2019 14:58

I didn’t like it but I love the creme de rose. I’m never without one. It’s lovely.

I accidentally bought a fake one on eBay but it’s still pretty great Blush

chipshopElvis · 04/08/2019 16:23

I love it. It's a lip balm but very subtly enhances your lip colour. 8yr old dd can tell when I'm wearing it but I don't think it's obvious. I have original and would like Coral but haven't bought as so pricey. Will repurchase this though it's the best lip thing I own.

Soola · 04/08/2019 16:49

I’ve dug one out! This is the lip glow in lilac. It looks ok but it doesn’t last and isn’t better than any other balms.

It cosmetics do something that looks similar- je ne sais quoi.

thisenglishlife · 04/08/2019 18:35

Have a look at the Rimmel or Clarins lip oils - moisture, smoothness, repairing, gloss and colour.

FilledSoda · 04/08/2019 18:48

I hate the ones in pots.
Do you not need to immediately wash your hands ?

friendlyflicka · 04/08/2019 19:25

I love posh make up even though I know most of it is about the packaging and brand. I have Lip Glow. I wouldn't buy it again and all my make up is that level of expensive

Soola · 04/08/2019 19:33

@FilledSoda no! You must never put your finger in a pot! That’s unhygienic. I use cotton buds or those little foam applicators that come in a matchbox.

Pinkfoxglove · 05/08/2019 07:08

Thanks for the replies.
I'm going to John Lewis this week so will try a tester.
Looking for a long lasting, moisturising tint which doesn't really seem to exist.

Verite1 · 05/08/2019 10:21

I have one. Not that keen. Never use it now.

BelindasGleeTeam · 05/08/2019 10:27

Sephora do one that's just as good, if you can get to Sephora

Destinesia · 05/08/2019 17:09

I'd recommend trying it out in a store. I didn't try before buying and it turns an unflattering bright pink on me.

ReginaGeorgeous · 05/08/2019 19:42

I have both the original pink and the raspberry shades and I really like it. It lasts well on me.

clapandwhistle · 06/11/2019 08:43

Reporting back although NC
I bought one in Coral and rate it. The colour suits my olive skin and although the gloss doesn't last long the base colour seems to.
Lovely packaging too.

ShivD · 06/11/2019 11:30

I had (until a child twisted it into the lid Angry ) the original and really loved it. I have fairly pale yellow toned skin and dark hair.
