Teenage acne

My ds aged 17 has quite a few zits in the usual places. I've seen worse, but he really minds now. It's been a while since I was a teen so I'm out of date on the best new products.

I've been giving him Acnecide to dab on (from behind the counter in Boots). He just splashes water on his face to wash it, shaves once a week. Plus he quite a few scars from picking his spots too. He is resistant to maternal advice but would use a product if I put it right into his hands.

What are your top suggestions?

Try hemp based lotions. I use one from amazon with only vegan/natural ingredients and it's cleared my skin right up.

After benzoyl peroxide the next step is to go to the gp for oral or topical antibiotics.

I have also heard success stories from Chinese herbal treatment.
