I have loads of wedding receptions this month and I thought I was hugely organised, bought a fab dress and shoes and was really smug about it all.

Well it's bit me in the arse now, I've fallen and wrecked my ankle and my physio has put a ban on heels which means I don't have a clue what to wear!

I have flat black sandals with jewels across the bar that I can wear but apart from that I'm stumped and I really need help!

I was thinking about a maxi dress or jumpsuit but I want to look nice (I never get to go out without kids!).

I'm a size 12-14, have a Mum tum so need it covered and I don't like my arms exposed at all. I'm normally wear blacks or purple.

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

My first wedding reception is this Friday!

Why don't you just wear the black sandals with whatever else you were planning to wear?

@Fifthtimelucky the dress I was going to wear is a skater style dress and it really doesn't look nice at all. I think with flat sandals I need to wear something longer?

Agree with the pp, wear the dress, bag, make-up, hair, etc. you had planned already.

If you want, you could wear your heels too and hire a wheelchair, and pay a friend (or friends) in booze to wheel you around all day and night looking fabulous...
