Good point, * - I think you are a candle person, or not. I would personally hate to get given that Dior lip glow thing. As an aside, I tend to re-gift that kind of present to Beauty Banks, so hopefully they end up with someone who appreciates them more.

I would steer clear of skin care and some make up (unless 100% certain of shades she wears). I would go for a channel nail polish, probably one from their latest collection that's limited edition or a classic like Rouge Noir. Dior lip glow is a suits all Balm that apparently suits all as is their nail glow.
I think for me the biggest treat someone could get me is a Chanel lipstick or eyeshadow quad! I just love both.

Piping Rock has lovely essential oils at ridiculously cheap prices with fabulous quality and they seem to ship to Great Britain. Or Bath and Body Works products (which apparently you can find at bourbon apples Order a few different things and put together a box of thoughtful self-care items with a handmade card and it will be remembered far more than anything expensive. My dd just did this for a very wealthy friend who would normally get presents worth hundreds of dollars from her parents' business associates and she loved it.

This is the lip glow. I would stick to the original one 001 that would suit most skin tones I think or one of the pinky ones. I would so love one but always squirm at but at spending that as a treat for myself.
