Foundation, Maybelline fit me?

Going to get a purse friendly foundation this afternoon, I’ve heard Maybelline fit me is quite good, but it’s described for skin as normal to oily & my skin is more normal to dry, would it still suit?

I like a lightweight feel, with light/ medium coverage, I’m mid fourties. I usually use L’Oréal Total Cover mixed with a bit of moisturiser or primer so it’s not too thick or heavy. I use a pressed power to set after.

I’ve tried Rimmel 24 hr lasting finish, Bourjois healthy mix Serum one, both didn’t suit.

Have you tried No. 7 in Boots. They have a good range. I love the foundation drops that you add to your moisturiser.

I love maybelline fit me dewy and smooth, but get it from the USA via amazon.
It really is lightweight, but gives a medium coverage, especially if you build it up, and has a lovely skin like finish.
Well worth the money in my opinion. The one you have is the matte and poreless, which is slightly more difficult to blend I feel, and can show any dry patches.

I also love L'oreal pro glo, which I feel is similar, with maybe a tad more coverage.
I have oily, yet dehydrated skin and I would rather powder afterwards, then use a foundation that shows dry lines, sinks into pores or leaves my face tight, dry or cracky looking. Not a good look at 47.

Another alternative is the no7 hydraluminous foundation. A totally gorgeous hydrating, skin like foundation that doesn't leave me oily or patchy. It is almost undetectable, but blends like a dream and covers redness beautifully.
I totally love it!

I have heard that it is really Matte, but you might be able to make it work with a good moisturiser,

Personally I can’t and wouldn’t use it as they are not cruelty free and test on animals Sad

I’ve just bought the Fit Me and it is quite matte. What about the Loreal Pro Glow? It’s exclusive to amazon but I’ve got that too and it’s really really nice, got them both on prime.

Also if you’re going into Boots the No7 hydraluminous foundation is really nice, the Pro Glow I mentioned is apparently a dupe for it.

I just bought the new maybelline factor 50 (think it’s a cc cream and it is soooooo pale - am normally warm ivory but it is far too white on me. Just an FYI!

Boilingfrog is that the dream urban cover? I bought that too and thought it was good originally but after using a few more times it’s far far too pale and I’m normally the lightest shade in everything! I’m giving it to my sister and switched to the fit me which is a much better match.

Boilingfrog · 29/07/2019 09:15

Yes I think it might be that one. A shame as it had great reviews on here! Might have to upgrade to ‘sesame’ Shock next time it’s on offer.

I like the fit me one but do have combi skin - mind you my cheeks are rather dry and thristy but I love that it is longlasting.

I use it and I have dry skin, it is really good.
