swimming costumes for fatties, not "plus sized"

Does anyone know of any great swimming costumes for overweight ladies who arent "plus sized"?
I am finding lots for plus sized gals who are :

  1. in proportion
  2. have a large bust
  3. are toned
  4. are quite bit (as in tall)

I am after something for a very short fat, post-menopausal figure - small bust, large bulgy and flabby belly and small bum and legs. Probably number 3-4 on pic. (and short torso as well).
Sounds attractive eh? Sorry, it was the best way for me to describe.

Not after miracles but wondered if anyone had found the ideal fit for this shape.

I got mine last year from Yours Clothing. They were pricey but very good. Got one from DressLily too at about 10% of the price, it was obviously less good quality but looks pretty good.

Do they tend to be for larger busted ladies @Nautiloid ?

The dress lily ones aren't, not sure re the yours clothing as I bought by cup size.

I got two lovely and very flattering swimsuits from Primark last year but have never seen that style in stock again. It has tummy control and bust support.

I have also had lovely ones from m&s.

Miracle suits
Expensive but worth it
Go up a size as they are small

Invisimamma · 27/07/2019 15:41

The Primark ones I had are pretty much identical to these in m&s.

I am the same as you. I HATE how I look now, huge stomach and I look like a ball.

I buy high waist pants and a bigger than I ever thought bikini top. Marks and Sparks Rosie for Autograph.

I just bought a swimming costume from Boden that has panels to pull you in and I was surprised that size 14 fitted and looked ok.

I used to have quite a nice figure. Sigh. Still, as my sister in law points out it is better than being dead.

Teddybear45 · 27/07/2019 15:44

What size are you? Both M&S and Next offer a good range for that body type in under a size 16. You might want to go for a tankini / bikini rather than an all in one as they tend to drape better around the bust and belly. Alternatively if your hips are narrow you could go for high waisted bottom and a supportive bikini top.

Wish I could find one. I'm a 12/14 with a large arse....I always struggle to find a swimsuit with enough material to cover my bottom Blush

I love my For Luna one piece - sucks everything in, very flattering, not enormous in the boobs. I’m an apple shape and still squeezing in to mine at 30 weeks pregnant.

I have a fantastic one I’ve bought in M&co.
Hang on I’ll find you a screen shot.
Your body shape is similar to mine and it’s the nicest one I’ve ever had.

eatenalivealiveoh · 27/07/2019 15:59

Ok...
So they do a few different colours.
The tankini top is ruffled and very flattering (it has amazing reviews).
The pants are high waisted or can be turned down at the top if preferred.
The straps are multi strap so can be worn a number of ways or removed all together.

I am a size 16 , for those who asked. Obviously depending on the brand though.
