Minimal packing for a week pool holiday

Hi all

I’m going away on Monday for a week at a hotel with my two DC on a single parent holiday. This is going to sound unbelievable but I’ve never done this sort of holiday before! It’s a hotel with pools, little beach nearby, kids club with some possible afternoon excursions. Forecast 28. Will be eating in the restaurant in the evening as part of a group.

I always, always overpack and I’d really like not to this time ( partic as it’s just me lugging suitcases etc). Sorry if this is a very silly question but if anyone has any advice on how many x and y to take it would be very helpful!

I’m mainly a dresses girl so have quite a few of those, have a couple of swim kaftan cover ups, some shorts etc.

Thanks!

Where are you going?

Kids: 7 t shirts, wear one to dinner and then on again for breakfast (quick sponge to get any food bits off) wear swim shorts to breakfast and 5 pairs of shorts for evening. One clean set for coming home.

You: take 4 dresses/evening outfits and wear twice. Wear cover up and cozzie to breakfast. One pair shorts, 3 t shirts in case you go sightseeing.

Don’t forget rash tops for the kids x 2 each

Thanks!

Swim shorts to breakfast for the kids is a good idea!

Just at the end of my first week and I’ve worn (from memory):
X2 bikinis and x1 swimsuit
X1 beach cover up
X2 shorts and x2 vests
X5 evening dresses (2 worn twice)
X3 day dresses
X3 sandals, x1 trainers

You’re welcome op. DS had a million pairs of shorts on one holiday. But really all they want is to jump straight in the pool after breakfast so it’s just extra putting on/taking off. On that note: make sure you lotion then BEFORE breakfast.

Buy a tube of travel wash to take, means you don't need a clean outfit everyday as if something gets too soiled to wear a second time you can give it a quick wash. Stuff dries quickly on a balcony in the sun.

Don't forget a cardi/jumper/hoody each in case it is chilly in the evening.

Thanks everyone
