Highlights are too blonde - can I do anything?

So I thought I’d treat myself to some highlights for summer hols. I have brown hair but with increasing greys. The greys are no longer noticeable as the highlights blend with them but the highlights are so light.

I had half head done so hair underneath is still really dark but the top is too light. I’m not sure it suits my skin tone and I look a bit washed out.

I showed the hairdresser a pic of what I liked which I think was this colour of blonde but it still had a fair amount of brown mixed with it.

Is there anything I can do to break up the blondeness a bit? Will it change a bit after a few washes?

I once had this, too blonde highlights in my medium brown hair, I bought a brown mousse which I combed through after each hair wash, I did this for a few weeks until the highlights had calmed down a bit. I'll try and find a link.

Oh thank you, a link would be great. Was it ok to use then on top of highlights

Just put a temporary darker blond dye over the top?

I bought a Jerome Russell toner in ash which really did darken them down a bit.

Our you could try using a brunette shampoo and conditioner.

Filming that go back to hairdressers, they may be able to put some pieces of brown through the blonde to break it up a bit more

I had this recently - went back to the hairdresser and had a toner put on at the roots and combed through slightly. Toned it down perfectly.
