Midi or maxi skirt for in the office..

I'm very fair and don't show my legs and fake tan has never really worked for me either. I'm looking for a long cool skirt I can wear to work. It's s corporate environment but has a smart casual dress code. I'd like it to be mainly black or navy but maybe with a subtle bit of pattern to it also. Can anyone help me find the perfect skirt as I am toasting just now in my standard slim fit trousers.

I've just bought two midi skirts for the office from H&M. One is a black/white geometric print and the other is a plain tan cotton.
Both v office appropriate.

Also I saw a few plain black midi skirts I'm new look but I thought black just didn't look quite right in the warm weather.

I’ve got this on today at work. Non office based but still need to be fairly smart.

Cos go out of their way to make the models look frumpy but the clothes are quite interesting and more structured this season. Also most are cotton so nice and cool.
