What to use to make highlights feel less straw like!

So I thought it would be nice to have some blonde highlights for summer hols. They look ok although a bit blonder than I was expecting but as she used bleach, hair now feels so dry, and strawlike.

Can anyone recommend something to soften it a bit and to stop it getting worse?

Elasticizer by Philip Kingsley is nice for this problem.

Moroccan Oil Light is really lovely to use, if too spendy, www.superdrug.com/L%27Oreal-Paris-Elvive/L%27Oreal-Elvive-Extraordinary-Oil-in-Cream-150ml/p/537700 is a good alternative.

If the Kingsley Elasticizer too ££ again, good alternative www.superdrug.com/Superdrug/Superdrug-Argan-Hair-Therapy-Pre-Shampoo-Hair-Treatment/p/738701

You need to balance protein treatments (olaplex, PK elasticiser, protein based masks) with moisture treatments (hydrating masks, serums).

I like Keratase’s range of masks as they do really make a difference with my hair. Moroccan oil is very good too, might be suitable for you alone if your hair isn’t that bad!

Salon treatments last a few washes and can be inexpensive (£5-£20)

Olaplex shampoo and conditioner.

Agree with Browzings. Bleached my hair a few months ago and it has taken its toll on my hair!

I use olaplex no. 3 to treat/strengthen (this has been an absolute godsend). Follow with shampoo, then a conditioner or treatment mask like joico luster lock or Tigi oatmeal and honey. Then, when my hair is damp, I use a few pumps of Moroccanoil.

The above has helped a lot, as has regular trims.
