Do you paint over grown out nails?

My toe nails have grown since I last painted them. Should I clean off all the nail varnish and repaint or can I just paint where the nail is showing at the bottom? I hate painting my toenails as it takes me ages to do neatly.

Take it off and start again. It doesn’t take ages

Depends on how grown out they are. I can generally top up mine to get an extra week out of them, but you have to be careful to blend it in to the current polish.

No harm in trying, the worst that's going to happen is you have to take it off, which you'll have to eventually anyway.
