Irregular Choice sizing

I really like the shoes in the link below, but I don't know which size to order. I am either a 40 or a 41. I live abroad so sending back for the other size is a huge faff, especially with paying the toll in top. How do people find IC sizing? Is it generous or on the small size? Anyone got similar shoes to these ones and can comment on their fit? Thanks!

I don't have these particular ones but I have quite a few others.
I find they usually have a narrow fit so if you have slightly wider feet they may be too narrow for you.
As for the sizing, I'm usually a 38 and can buy the same size in irregular choice without too many issues. Certainly not a generous fit though.

I have a lot of these shoes and depending on the style they can come up either a tad on the bigger side or a perfect fit.

I have a quite a few pairs, I'm an odity though because I'm a 4.5 so buy size 5, and they fit perfect, so maybe they come up a bit smaller?

I can fit into some styles at a 38, but others are too narrow. My feet are a 5. Usually the higher the heel, the narrower the fit.
