Products for over processed hair

I had a disastrous hair appointment yesterday. I have full blonde hair, it's a bit dry and very thick so it does tend to look frizzy if I don't apply heat. A few months ago I lost a tuft at the back after an incident where I got tangled in a washing line (don't ask 😂).

Anyway, I went to a new hairdressers and as I have a few inches of regrowth which looks pretty dire I asked for a few highlights to blend the whole thing in so I can eventually grow the blonde out. For context, my natural root is a light mousy brown.

The hair dresser point blank said no. She spent 15 minutes telling me that I'd lost the whole crown of my hair due to my overprocessed hair and not the washing line and that my colour was a mishmash and she didn't really know what could be done. I told her after 15 minutes that I understand and could she please stop telling me my hair is awful because it was upsetting and I came in here to fix it. At the point I wanted to walk out tbh but we agreed on an olaplex treatment and a cut. She didn't listen to my request for no layers, I know my hair and how it falls but she said I need layers so I gave in.

I've woken up today and I feel awful! I wish I had walked out when I thought to. I want to get my hair back into a decent condition so that I can have some colour on the roots as at the minute its a mess, a block of roots and block of blonde. Also the haircut makes me look like a 10 year old child of the 90s. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shampoo and conditioner that are gentle and moisturising that could help me restore the condition of the hair please?

Ps. Sorry for the rant, I feel so upset that I walked out feeling even worse that when I walked in 😩.

Oil of spam...?

What have I just walked into?

PurpleDaisies · 24/07/2019 10:49

Ironic that a vegan would be spamming so much!

PurpleDaisies · 24/07/2019 10:50

The op has been posting all over the site promoting what I can only assume is their own business.

PurpleDaisies · 24/07/2019 10:51

Not the op, sorry! There was a post with a link to a beauty business.

If you've lost the 'whole crown' as she says, then there is nothing there to condition anyway? Is she saying that you have a bald patch? Confused

And WTF is 'oil of spam'?

I use cantu conditioner off amazon for Afro/Asian hair on my frizzy hair and it's really moisturising

Definitely olaplex

I love the "BC Bonacure" range by Schwarzkopf - there's different formulas depending on your hair type (fine/thick/normal/dry etc)
