Can crop tops disappear already?

I have been waiting for these ghastly things to disappear for years, but they seem to be going nowhere. Is there a single place to wear these and not look awkward or inappropriate? I am getting annoyed at seeing tops that look cute at first glance, but then I realize there is only half of it. I have often wondered how retailers can justify charging the same price as a regular top for something that has only half the material.

I'm not sure why anyone would be wanting to show their midriff off to folk as don't need to see it!

I like them with high waisted skirts but it is annoying when you think you’ve found a nice top to realise it’s cropped.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 24/07/2019 15:29

I've worn them to 2 festivals this summer and I'm 38.
Couldn't give a toss what other people think, I looked good.

I have a couple of crop tops.. I don't show off my midriff (perish the thought eh 😉) but they are useful to be worn with high waisted jeans and trousers. They go very well with my Hush harems and my high waisted Mom jeans.

I'm 37 and rock a crop top.

Having said all this, I am currently wearing a rolled-up vest top (privacy of own home!) because it was sticking to my back, and it is nice and cool...

My tall , size 6-8 DD wears them.
Flat stomach, boobs where they should be , belly button piercing .

Some stomachs are fit for public viewing .
Most of the stomachs I cop an eyeful of round here are not

My own is kept well under wraps .

I like the way they're worn now with high waist jeans etc. Not like back in (my) day with super-low bum cleavage bearing ones.
They're not compulsory OP and plenty of alternatives about.

Oooh, I used to wear them back in the day with super low-rise jeans! Not so much now - I have some shorter tops that just tuck into high-waisted skirts/jeans, but my stripy tummy remains firmly under wraps.

I saw someone yesterday - thin woman probably late forties, wearing a cropped vest tied up at the waist, and despite her thinness a roll of flesh was hanging out. I’m too scared that that would be me.
