Can I wear this dress to a wedding (evening party only)?

I like this ASOS dress and as it's predominantly white I wouldn't consider wearing it if I was a guest at the ceremony / wedding breakfast. However, I'm only going to the evening party. Does that make a difference or is white always a no no for a wedding? Dress

Nope.

I didn't realise so many people sat at weddings being so judgey about other peoples outfits.
How miserable.

My friend recently got married in a satsuma orange bodycon dress. She looked fab. I like orange, thankfully I wasn't wearing it that day, imagine the horror on the other guests faces!

So it wouldn’t have bothered me if you wore it to my wedding- I couldn’t tell you now what most people wore at all! I wouldn’t ever choose to wear this dress to a wedding though. I think other guests would probably think it a bit weird too. And no, it is not a predominately white dress. It is a white dress with some embroidery on. Choose something else.

No, don't. If the bride changes out of her wedding dress into a going-away outfit later on, you could be the only person there who's dressed in white.

Sorry to derail but can I wear a grey and white striped dress to a wedding?

Wouldn't have bothered me one bit at my wedding. There are some white dresses that look bridal and I'd stay clear from them but that's nothing like a wedding dress with the coloured embroidery in it. Accessorise it with shoes and a bag and bits that pick out the colours in the embroidery. I'd go for it. Especially for an evening do. Better to go in something you feel good in.

It looks nothing like a wedding dress, wear it
