Suncream recommendations please!

DH is a seriously sweaty bloke. Like, he can be dripping sweat in winter.

He's been really struggling in this weather because he wears factor 50 but still burns, and we think it's because he simply sweats it all off in a matter of minutes.

I'm thinking about possibly getting a waterproof one, but not sure if it will work because the "water" is coming from the skin rather than water coming into contact with skin.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a suncream that might work? Bonus points if I can pick it up from boots or similar!

I must add it's only really for his face. The rest of his body is either covered up, or he doesn't sweat as much so the suncream works!

Ultrasun. In 20, 30 or 50. They do a sports spray, which apparently blokes like more than cream, but that may just be stereotyping. Don't spray directly onto face, tho - it would sting. Can buy it in m&s, Waitrose /John Lewis on the high street. Possibly other places, too. It's once a day, but I find it nicer than P20 - no staining of clothes and very high uva rating.

So boots do a kids 50 that is suitable for swimming - using it on the kids at the moment and it's working out great.

'think sport' or 'think baby' both are factor 50 with a 20% zinc content so is the best. Mineral sunscreen and is available on Amazon though takes a week to arrive.

I swear by it as does the whole family.

The derm spray is also great so I will send a link too 🙂

www.amazon.co.uk/ThinkSport-Sunscreen-SPF-89ml-3oz/dp/B007SNM6OK?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

It's worth it as it'll actually work

Nutragena also does a zinc factor 50

Primark spray sun protection. There's a sports sweat proof one and its amazing. Less than a fiver and comes in SPF30 and 50

Thank you so much! I'll pop into town tomorrow and see which of these I can pick up Smile

If you get the ultrasun cream/lotion get the 30 rather than the 50 which is thicker and heavier.
