Does anyone have any recommendations for an under eye concealer? Everything that I try just looks cakey. Thank you.

Hi I have very bad dark circles and use mabelline age eraser, I am in my 50s so have a few lines round my eyes and this doesn't settle too much in lines. It's got a sponge applicator.

Fenty Beauty's is really good!

I use Becca’s Under Eye Brightening Corrector. You only need a tiny bit but it’s amazing. Feels quite tacky but doesn’t cake

Holy grail: www.armanibeauty.co.uk/makeup/face/concealer/high-precision-retouch/AP10301.html BUY
Only recently discovered this and bought 2 I love it so much. Dewy finish. Very natural.

I use the Aldi one that looks like a copy of the Dior concealer, its sheer, doesn't settle in to creases & stays on well.

Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift - pricey but a little goes a long way, and it’s amazing stuff.

Another vote for the Maybelline Eraser. The trick is not to apply too much as it's deceptively high coverage.

You need to address the shadows first with a colour corrector then use a concealer. Mine are really bad and I have tried loads of concealers and it's only when you use the colour corrector you get the effect. I use Tarte coloured clay under eye concealer and often wear just that. It's v light texture but covers well. I also use shape tape on top if I'm going out. I like touche éclat for highlighting round eyes but it doesn't cover if you have proper dark circles. Good luck!! X

I've used the Maybelline one too, light texture but good coverage - I like it, and would recommend as a cheaper option. I would say though, depending on how bad they are, you would be best to get a colour corrector to put on first 🙂

Are you using an eye cream underneath? If the skin is dry this may make it look cakey.

twitterbird · 23/07/2019 10:33

I got the trish mc one and I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly as it doesn't seem to be doing me any favours

eyeoresancerre · 23/07/2019 10:37

Charlotte Tilbury is the only one that doesn't cake on me. I've tried loads and I'm happy with this one. It's £26 but I think it's worth it. Tried Nars and it was rubbish on me as I have dry skin and eye wrinkles/bags.

countrygirl171 · 24/07/2019 21:10

Thank you for the recommendations. I haven't tried some of these so will give them a go.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Wand is amazing. Two-ended, one. serum, the other a concealer. The serum bleached my under eye circles and it lasted months!
