Best place for jeans for teens?

DD has just turned 13 and getting jeans for her is a bloody nightmare.#

She's 5ft 6" and slim and they either seem too small (age 14 H & M) or massive. I'm trying to avoid adult sizes for as long as possible because the jump in price is ridiculous but I fear it won't be long ...

Best fit for teens please?

My skinnies go to Hollister.

whiteroseredrose · 21/07/2019 19:34

Ah. Adult sizes and prices but cheaper than eg Levis.

Lizzielocket · 21/07/2019 19:37

I second Hollister, huge range of styles and sizes. Jeans are often in the online sale at less than £15 a pair, you can now return online purchases in store instead of having to pay a tenner to send them back to the US.
I’ve got DD’s cast offs and they are great hard wearing jeans.

New look girls range is good

RonnieScotts · 21/07/2019 19:44

My skinny , tall DD gets hers from River Island (not cheap!) but once we determined size and style I've bought her a few pairs from eBay.

Topshop, they also have petite options

browzingss · 21/07/2019 19:58

Sorry she probably won’t need petite length, but Topshop do W24 which would be a size 4

taylorowmu · 21/07/2019 20:03

I think if you go to adult sizes you will have a bigger choice in stores and therefore probably find something that costs the same or less than sticking to a limited choice in child sizes.

Don't discount adult jeans as always being more expensive. Shop around. My jeans are less then £20 a pair, usually sale bought but decent brand.

Zampa · 21/07/2019 20:05

My 14 year old DSD loves her New Look jeans (9-15 range) and also has 2 high waisted pairs from Primark in a size 6.

SuzieQ10 · 21/07/2019 20:24

Topshop.
Yes it's expensive, but she's tall now for kids / teen wear.

BenWillbondsPants · 21/07/2019 20:34

I saw a lovely pair of Hollister ones earlier in the sale but I couldn't work out the sizing!! The waist sizes were from 00 to 17 and I don't have any idea what that means!

My girls buy jeans from Hollister, New Look and Top Shop

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/07/2019 21:09

My DD is 5'7" and a size 6-8 , she likes TopShop Joni jrans

DS is 5'11 and a waist 26" and likes the H&M jeans .

It is a nightmare buying jeans for tall thin leggy teenagers and yes , adult sizes are better , but if course ££

Lidlfix · 21/07/2019 21:58

Another vote for Top Shop Joni the choice of waists size and leg lengths means she's bound to find s winning combo and they are decent (although the black fades quickly) quality jeans.

redtulip12 · 21/07/2019 22:05

Topshop Joni or Jamie jeans. My slim teens will only wear these as they do small waists and fit them perfectly. I also wear them but in a much larger waist Smile

BindTheWobbinUp · 21/07/2019 22:10

Another vote for Topshop.
