Good strapless bra that stays up!

I've got personal shopper appointments with John Lewis and Debenhams next weekend (can't wait!). I have a 11 month old - my DH is staying at home with the baby so I can have the day to myself Grin

I'm having trouble finding a dress for a family wedding. After having my second baby I'm now a size 18 so I have no idea what suits my body since I don't even recognise my shape anymore.

There are some dresses I like which may require a strapless bra. I have bought some in the past but they tend to not be supportive or don't stay up Blush can anyone recommend a good strapless bra?

Wonderbra one is great, can’t remember the exact type but they’ll probably know if you ask them

No ... sorry ... I’m size 6 but with g cup bra size ... straps are essential I think when your chest is a generous size !
Would be happy if someone comes along to correct me though ...

Yep wonderbra magic hands one. I'm a 34GG /32H, I have it in 34G and it does its job .

Yes wonderbra magic hands is amazing. Used this under my wedding dress. Stayed up and supportive all day even when dancing.

The wonderbra hands (think it's called ultimate strapless or something similar) is brilliant.
I also have a really good one from Debenhams "gorgeous" range.

The key to a good strapless bra is getting the size spot on. I like my strapless bras to
Have quite a broad band with at least 3/4 to help it feel secure.

Another vote for Wonderbra Magic Hands here! Never used to wear strapless tops/dresses as I didn't feel secure (despite being pretty flat chested!), but now don't think twice about it. I find using dress tape to stick the top to the bra keeps everything secure all day.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try the Wonderbra Magic Hands since it has been suggested by quite a few of you.

Late to the party as usual, but definitely the Wonderbra 'hands' one. I have two in the nude colour that I alternate constantly on holiday. Comfortable and doesn't move.

Damn...I've just checked and wonderbra only go up to 38. I'm a 40C so probably won't be able to get one Sad

Anyone recommend a good strapless bra for those who are wide of back Blush

I've got a 34G strapless bra from M&S that stays up, it has four fasteners so very sturdy & supportive.

Not sure what back size they go up to but I know that my mum buys 'bra extenders' which make your bra a bigger back size.
Will find out where she buys them.

Very interested in this thread as I bought a strapless evening dress some time ago from a chariry shop but haven't been able to wear it yet as I haven't found a comfy strapless bra. The ones I've tried have been so tight in the band. Does the Wonderbra feel very tight, and should I buy a normal bra size? I'm a 38DD.

You are very probably not a 40C - follow the instructions on this site: booborbust.com (or go to a Bravissimo). Very likely you need to go down in the back size and up in the cup size.

Yes, 40c is an unlikely size. The actual underbust measurement is the band size - the wonderbra strapless comes up small in the band so you might need one size bigger than you measure.
