Lightweight rain coat

As the title suggests! I recently had a baby and the torrential rain over the last few days made me realise that a) an umbrella is completely impractical with the pram and b) that I don't actually have a rain coat suitable for summer downpours...

So any recommendations? Would a simple Pac a Mac style work? I'm wary as those I've seen suggest 'shower proof' rather than waterproof. Also I do have quite a large head so need a decent hood (most tend to barely cover about 2/3 of my head which isn't great).

Thanks!

I've got one from Uniqlo. It's lovely.

@Mosaic123 do you have a link? I love uniqlo but never bought a coat from them - what is the sizing like?

Rains DK is an excellent brand for this. You can get them on ASOS

I've got a Joules waterproof 'Right as Rain' Mac which is like a cagoule as in it's quite thin but it has taped seams & is definitely waterproof (I've had to test it this week!!).

It was £29.99 in the sale & is navy with a very delicate floral pattern.

I have one of these from Uniqlo. I also have this one in red. I can confirm they are waterproof.

I have a lovely raincoat from stutterheim. Protected species costs look lovely as well and there’s a 40% off code on another thread.

Thanks all! Will take a look at all the brands suggested and see what suits!
