Disappointed with my hair.. should I just box dye?

I’ve just spend 3 hours in the salon to turn my highlights into balayage and paid £63. It looks the exact same as before!! Before is in the blue dress and the miserable one is today!
I’m so annoyed I’m tempted to just do a box dye and do it myself from now on. I can’t justify spending that much for it to always look the same or not turn out how I want it. What do you think?

The fringe now looks quite a lot darker then the rest of the hair so it might be worth going back?

Did they tell you it would take more than one session? My first session and I was disappointed but my second session was a real transformation. Same hairdresser!

Looks lovely OP but I would still go back as I'm not sure it's what you asked for! Still looks more standard highlighted than balayage to me.
